Organic Growers Club Student Farm Corvallis, OR (see map below for directions)
Saturday, May 21 9am - noon
The Organic Growers Club Student Farm is an all-volunteer farming project that is largely self-sustaining. The farm grows and sells over 50 different kinds of fruits and veggies while providing students with hands-on agricultural production experience and education. Participants will receive a farm tour and an introduction to organic farming – then, work party! Alumni volunteers will be working alongside student volunteers to prep and plant the student farm for spring. Activities may include vegetable bed preparation, weeding, compost maintenance, planting, and other farm tasks. This is a great opportunity to get your hands dirty and learn alongside other Beavers! We recommend you bring gloves, a water bottle, long pants, closed-toed shoes and clothing that can get a bit dirty. Volunteers must be at least 12 years old to participate. We will meet near the shed at west side of farm. Parallel parking is available along the roadway.
