Cooking Techniques with Oregon’s Bounty
In this fun and informative class you will be using some of Oregon’s wonderful, local foods to learn cooking techniques. Does your sautéed food come out bland? When you roast is it soggy? Do you want to learn more about cooking techniques to take your culinary skills to the next level? This super hands-on class will help to answer questions about the how’s and why’s of great tasting food! Taught by two OSU graduates, Susana Holloway '03 and Melinda Casady '96, Portland’s Culinary Workshop is excited to help you be a better cook using Oregon’s bounty!

The delicious menu we will create:
Roasted Cauliflower with Toasted Hazelnuts and Dried Cranberries
Steamed Salmon en Papillote with Seasonal Local Vegetables
Pan-Fried Zuchini Fritters stuffed with Oregon Cheeses
If time allows, we will practice our egg poaching!
